Hi everyone. Stef asked me to let you know that her oldest son had to have emergency knee surgery and will be in the hospital until Wednesday. Stef’s surgery is Thursday. If you have contacted her, she is not ignoring you but is simply focused on dealing with the current circumstances. Please keep her in your thoughts.

Just an update:
Oldest, 13, is still at the hospital, we are in ICU. He has a staph infection in his knee, in the bone. He had emerg surgery on Fri to remove the infection. The infection did get in his blood stream and is in his lungs and he has a blood clot in his leg. His fever if finally not going above 101 which is great. Originally it was at 105.
He is now on a blood thinner for the clot and great antibiotics to get the rest of the infection out of his lungs. His knee surgery went great.
We don’t know when he will be getting out. I did have to reschedule my surgery. I spoke with the surgical coordinator, we need to be up here at all times.
Keep us in your thoughts and prayers. My parents picked my other 3 kids up and took them back with them and they are staying with my sister and brother in law and having a blast playing with her kids. They are being spoiled rotten. Much better than sitting at the hospital.
I have a laptop at the hospital now, but will only be on, off and on.

Well, it’s the 20th and we are still at the hospital. We have been here for about 12 days I think now, my brain is tired :)
They are saying we may be able to go home sometime between Wed and Friday.
My surgery was canceled, but as soon as we get home they are going to reschedule it for me, without the 2 month out waiting time. They were very understanding.
Keep us in your thoughts, my son is doing a 1000 percent better, now if we can just continue and get home.
